Terms of service

The service

Switchback Bindery lets you upload photos and write stories about a walk, lay them out as articles and journals, and share them. The service is currently invite-only and provided as is, while we are still building it. Features may change, and we may pause or end the service with reasonable notice.

Your account

Sign-in is by emailed link. Keep your inbox secure, since access to it is access to your account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the people you invite to your trips.

Your content

• You own your photos, stories and everything else you upload. We claim no ownership.
• You give us permission to store, process, resize, display and print your content, and to share it with the people you choose, solely to provide the service.
• You promise you have the right to upload what you upload, including the rights to photos of other people, and that it is lawful. If your photos show children who are not your own, you must have a parent or guardian’s permission.
• If you invite contributors, you are responsible for the content they add to your trip, and they are responsible for what they contribute.

Acceptable use

Do not upload illegal content, content that exploits or endangers others, or content that infringes someone’s rights. Do not try to break, overload or probe the service, access other people’s content, or use it to send spam. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Sharing links

A public share link lets anyone who has it view what you attached, without signing in. You decide who receives it, and you can remove it at any time.

Backups and your own copies

We take care to protect your content, but we cannot guarantee it will never be lost. Keep the original photos you care about somewhere else.

Printing and payments

Print orders are not yet available. When they are, pricing, shipping, returns and any refund terms will be shown at checkout and added here before you can pay.

Our liability

The service is provided without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of content or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your use

You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing us. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continued use after a change means you accept it. Material changes will be emailed to you. Questions: support@switchbk.com.
